Hosted by Bookworm Book Blog & The Violent Vixen

This is Cover Story, a weekly linkup where we share the cover of a book we’ve never read and a short synopsis about what we think (or hope) the book is about. No cheating and reading the back cover or book blurb! This is totally about judging a book by its cover!

This Week’s Topic: Single Ladies

My Cover & Blurb:

Years after the death of her high school sweetheart, an eccentric scientist, a woman finally works up the courage to go through his workshop. What she finds is beyond comprehension. Hidden behind a sheet is a circular doorway surrounded by a ring etched with astrological symbols. Running her hand over the runes, she realizes causes them to glow brightly. Unsure of its purpose, she begins searching his notes for any clues. Recognizing several Gaelic names for planets, she passes her hands over the runes for each one. They all glow even brighter than before, momentarily blinding her. A portal opens, but where…or when does it go?

Join the Fun!

We’d love for you to join us! Just pick a book cover based on the week’s topic (interpret it any way you want) and then go find a new-to-you book. Search Amazon, Goodreads, Pinterest, your local library, bookstore, or wherever. Don’t read that blurb though! Write a post about what you think the book’s about, then link up to your post here (so we can visit!). Don’t forget to visit the other participants (and comment if you feel so inclined)!

(Find the list of upcoming topics here.)

****Update**** It appears that my Linkup service is currently not working properly, so for now, please post your links in the comments below!
