A Bookworm Review by Ana
Shattered Rhythm
Romantic Suspence/Rock
I give this book 5 stars!
The world will do you no favors, so grab it while you can. Cause no matter how much you want it, you’ll get bitch-slapped in the end.
Have a look at the blurb:
Chaz Jones’ life hasn’t been easy. Meltdown’s newest drummer doesn’t give a damn about anything except for his kit, his sticks and his throne. Music offers him a way out and he takes it, only to discover it isn’t enough.
Nothing is ever enough.
… Until Olivia
Olivia Marshall had her dream job, her dream boyfriend, and her dream life. Then, in the blink of an eye, she discovered it was all a lie. She hit rock bottom. But then fate steps in, and music offers her a way back.
She thinks it’s enough.
… Until Chaz
Together, they find their rhythm and begin to mend their shattered lives. Fate steps back in. This time, it’s not to save them… but to tear them apart.
#MyReview:
It’s been a few months since the last time I had the chance to read a book from this lady and I was starting to get mad, lol. OK not mad mad but I missed her and after the last book ended the way it did I wanted answers. I needed to know what the hell happened. So, after a while here I was, again, super excited to start this book. I know that I must sound crazy but honestly I really don’t care.
R. B. Hilliard is the one to blame. Her writing is simple, pretty detailed, with lots of feelings into the mix. Her words have the ability to get your attention in a sec and that will make you want to read and read without stopping.
Shattered Rhythm is the third book from the Meltdown series and you need to be ready for them. Oh boy…
But before I tell you a little bit more about this story I need to tell you something. In order for you to understand this series you need to read all books in order. Things will happen that you need to know and that will make you see why this book was the way it was.
This book explores the lifes of Chaz and Olivia.
Chaz is the Meltdown drummer and not a very pleasant guy. He’s always mad or upset with things and he’s only happy when he’s playing his music. But is behavior as a reason to be the way it is… After being severely betrayed he hit rock bottom but show must go on so…
Olivia had it all, an amazing life completed with a fantastic job and a dream boyfriend until one day it all ended. Now she’s struggling to get back on her feet but it’s hard. One phone call from a friend will give her the push up she needed but…
Once the book ended I was overwhelmed. I can’t find a word to describe how I felt because it was blow after blow after blow but I really really loved it. This series is one of my favorite series of all times.
The plot is superb, super engaging, very well written and left me anxious and nervous all at once. The interaction between the characters is intense, raw, funny, bumpy you name it but they will show you how to live real life.
The way the story progressed left me wanting to keep reading and reading because we were hit with enigmas and troubles all the time and when I thought that I knew the cause of it bamm I would be stuck by another mystery.
This book presented us with deceive, madness, craziness, betrayal, crime as well as friendship, true love, family and happiness. Nothing comes easly there for you need to keep fighting.
R. B. Hilliard your one wicked lady… Wicked I tell you. You are becoming an expert in suspense. Jeez why make us suffer like that? You’re lucky that I love you.
Can’t wait for more news from this amazing band.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
