CONFESS: A Dark Romance (Sin City Salvation Book 1) by A. Zavarelli

A Bookworm Review by Ana

Dark Romance

I give this book 5 stars!

Sometimes what you think is the best for you…

Have a look at the blurb:

One contract. Two signatures. A marriage of inconvenience.

Lucian West isn’t husband material. He’s a stiff in a suit. Granted a hot one, but still. He’s one of the most hated men in America. An arrogant alpha. A ruthless attorney.

He gets what he wants in the courtroom, and outside of it.

Now, he wants me.

For reasons I can’t fathom, he’s determined to make me his wife.

He makes it clear he’s not above blackmailing me to put a ring on my finger.

The man might be richer than sin with devilish good looks, but hell will freeze over before I ever give my heart to him.

I don’t do love. I don’t even do relationships.

But all of that changes when I stumble upon the tragic, beautiful woman confessing her sins in the dark of night.

She’ s supposed to be nothing to me. Nothing but a wife. Her smart mouth drives me crazy. Her attitude brings out the beast in me. I want to protect her. I want to bring her to heel. I want to own her pretty lips.

She belongs to me, she just doesn’t know it yet.

I’ve already made her mine in name. Now it’s time to claim the rest of her.

Explosive chemistry. Plenty of angst. Packed with emotion and dark themes. Confess is a standalone within the series and has a complete ending.

I’ve been wanting to read this author’s book for a while now and with my schedule, it’s been nearly impossible to do so. But my book friend told me that I really needed to get some time to do it so here I am. Ready to embark in a new world.
I’ve been hearing all good things get about this author and it was time to see it for myself.
A. Zavarelli is a new author to me and let me just say that I’ll be stalking her.
Her writing is hard and raw, intense and forbidden, hot and spicy… Just the way I like it.
Confess was the book I wanted to start and Jesus… What a book. This is the first book from the Sin City Salvation and explores the lives of Lucian and Gypsy.
Lucian is a lawyer that focuses his life on winning every case assigned to him. He won’t back down from a challenge and will do everything to win those cases. It doesn’t matter how…
Gypsy is a beautiful woman that uses her beauty to lurk into any man’s life and ruin them. She knows how to conquer then, get everything she wants until she gets away with everything. But one day…
No words. I have no words to describe how I felt when this book ended.
Superb plot, very well written, super engaging and intense. Each chapter was surrounded by a cloud of darkness and drama.
Each chapter was even more intense than the latest and it was hard to stop reading.
There were parts of the book that I wanted to hurt someone, but then I wanted to hold them at the same time.
It’s impressive the way you feel when you think that you just deserve sadness. It’s brutal to see the way you will struggle to achieve greatness when you’ve lost everything.
I’m not going to lie… I wanted to be mad at this author because of what she did but I couldn’t.
Despite the way I felt, I wouldn’t have changed anything.
This book was spectacular and I want you all to read it.
A. Zavarelli… What a book. What a ride. Now I’m starting book two.
