#MyReview

It’s always exciting to start a new series and it’s even better when we get the chance to meet a new author. Despite the fact that it can also be a bit scary because we can’t possibly know if we will like his/her writing. But being the bookworm that I’ve become the need to know overcame everything. And to top all that it’s a new MC book… Happy….
Like I said MLJ Quigg is a new author to me and let’s just say that I’m going to be following her.
Her writing is raw, intense, dark and sexy as well. Let’s just say that not everything is a bed of roses…
Thor is her newest release and it’s the first book from the Thorny Devils MC.
This book explores the lifes of Derrick and Monique.
Derrick aka Thor has been dealing with some club problems the last couple of months. He had lost a brother and can’t find out who is behind all this. His MC is a clean club but something is happening out of his control. Being their president he needs to be there for his brothers and find out. But being the president has its benefits… He can have all that women he wants but he’s getting bored and wanting to settle down but his chance was left behind 15 years ago…
Monique was left with a broken heart 15 years ago and that pain consumed her till today. She had suffered severely and when she thought that she was finally living he appears again and now what??
She had joined the military, then special forces and in a missing all went south. She was tortured and so much more… But she get out of it, moved on with her life and now he’s back… What will happen?
Let me just say that when I ended this book I had a huge smile on my face.
Perfect plot, well written, super engaging and intense.
The chemistry the characters share is perfect and you can see what bounds them.
This story presented us with second chances, love, family, loyalty as well as crime, punishment, drama…
Sweet Jesus… The hot scenes are freaking amazing…you will need a few cold showers…
I had read this book in one setting and I loved every chapter. The way this lady ended each chapter made me want go keep reading non stop.
MLJ… What can I say? I really loved the way you started this series and I can’t wait for what’s about to come. Who are the next couple you’ll be writing about?

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Smiley (Grim Sinners MC Originals Book 1) by LeAnn Ashers

A Bookworm Review by Ana

Smiley

MC Romance

I give this book 5 stars!

Love can come to you when you least espect it. And what should you do? Embrace it…

Have a look at the blurb:

Adeline

It was completely unexpected. I’d never imagined he would come into my life. From the moment I met him, I knew there was no going back. He made me feel things I had never experienced before:
Safety
Love
Happiness

I was floating on air. Nothing could touch me with him by my side. He became my everything.

Smiley

I’d never expected my life to change upon walking into the Devil Souls MC. At first glance, I almost fell on my ass, and I knew I had to have her. She was everything I never knew I wanted, and hell if that didn’t stir something in me. Adeline gave me something I had been missing my whole life:
Passion
Desire
Contentment

I’m the retired president of the Grim Sinners MC but, in the end, you never really leave. The Devil Souls and The Grim Sinners were brought together to fight the biggest battle yet.

We had to protect our families at any cost.

This book can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the others to get the full experience 🙂

#MyReview:

I’ve been wondering about how to start this new review. I mean, I know what I want to say but I don’t want to sound repetitive.
I’ve been reading non stop these couple of years and each book as been better than the last  one. Dayum…
I’m an MC fan, everybody knows that and the more I read, the more I want. I’m addicted.
LeAnn Ashers has been a constant in my reading life and let’s just say that I can’t get enough. Each book made me see things and feel things… Oh boy. Her writing is intense, wild, hot and breathtaking. Each scene will hook you up.
Smiley is her latest release and tells the stories of Adeline and Smiley.
Adeline had suffered horrors but that made her a strongest person. She never thought of love for a while until…
Smiley isn’t new into the MC world since he’s the former President from the Grim Sinners MC. He’s been alone for a while now but that didn’t made him a manwhore.
We had glimpses from these two from previous books and it was amazing to have a book for them.
I’m amazed and super happy because I’ve been waiting for this book for a while now. It was all and so much more. Dayum…
The plot is magnificent, very well written, super engaging and intense.
We had the answers we were looking for. It was fantastic to be able to fill the blanks.
It was a joy to read this book and once I started it I couldn’t put it down.
Dayum LeAnn… You rock woman. This series is getting so much better.
When will we have more? Soon I hope.

Torin (Savage Kings MC Book 3) by Lane Hart and D.B. West

A Bookworm Review by Ana

Torin

MC Romance

I give this book 5 stars!

Your life might be surrounded by darkness but you must believe that there will be light in the end of that tunel…

Have a look at the blurb:

Evil comes in many forms, and right now it’s a beautiful, raven-haired woman hanging upside down on a stripper pole.

Here in Vegas, they call her Destiny, but I know exactly who she really is.

Lexi Cruz and her father ruined my life. They blackmailed me for millions. And then, when I refused to pay them another dime, they murdered my old lady and our unborn son.

The only thing that has kept me going for the last few months is vengeance. I live and breathe for the day I’ll finally get my revenge.

Guilt eats away at me a little more with each day that passes until there’s nothing left of the man I used to be.

I’m ready for my dance with Destiny; to finally put an end to the suffering.

But there are two sides to every story.

And it turns out that Destiny may have a few secrets up her sleeve, secrets that will actually give me something worth living for again.

This is third book in the Savage Kings MC series and the reading order is:

Chase
Abe
Torin

#MyReview:

Yes, yes, yes… This book is here and I didn’t scream my head off because it was super late and my kid was in bed but Dayum… I was so freaking happy. Since I started this series that this story was the one that I was waiting for because the suspense… The unknown would be there… So many questions and fears…
Wanna know what I’m talking about? Let me explain.
Land Hart and D. B. West had created an amazing series… Guess the genre? An MC series of course… Lol… My favorite. Savage Kings MC was created and I was doomed. Have you read them yet? If you haven’t I totally advise you to read them all in order, Chase then Abe and then this one Torin because they aren’t standalones. Just do it…
This book focus on the lifes of Torin and Lexi.
Torin had suffered the unthinkable, while he was president he saw his wife and unborn child being killed out of revenge. After that day he wasn’t the same, he wanted revenge against the responsible for that but…
Lexi was obligated to run away from her past and her family, because when you’re the daughter of a ruthless mob boss you tend to pay for his sins. Life on her own is hard so imagine what it is working in a strip club and…
Sometimes we’re obligated to do whatever it takes to survive and protect the ones we love…
Jesus… I knew that I was about to embark on a breathtaking story but Dayum… It was so much more.
The plot is exquisite, very well written, as always, super detailed and intense.
Once I started to read it I just couldn’t put it down. Follow my advise and don’t start any book from this lady after midnight, because I did that and watched the sunrise.
I was in edge after reading the first two books because the need to know more was consuming me. If you had read the first book you know why I’m saying this.
I needed answers and I got do much more.
This book focus on revenge, pain, suffering but it also give us love, second chances and loyalty.
Just grab this series and get ready to be amazed. Guys, you will get hot flashes with the hot scenes… Just wait…
Lane and D. B. You guys are trying to kill us right? And why that ending? Jeez… Can’t wait for the next one.

Excerpt:

Torin Fury

The déjà vu of the guilt trip caused by sitting in the middle of the sleazy club with tits and ass out everywhere makes me think that strip clubs are now my own personal brand of a hell I fully deserve.

Tonight, I’m sure as fuck not drinking anything, even if it does make me look suspicious. I’ll never let a woman near my beverage again after my bachelor party.

“Son of a bitch,” I mutter when Lexi finally comes out on stage. It’s her, I’m certain, even if she’s dyed her long, raven hair a light brown. Her petite tan body looks curvier than I remember in the scarlet red corset, but it’s not like I remember many details from that night.

It’s a good thing they don’t allow firearms in this establishment, because if I had my gun on me right now, I might be tempted to put a bullet in her head while she swings around on the goddamn stripper pole.

When a young redheaded waitress walks by, I sit up in my seat to call out to her. “Hey! What’s her name?” I ask with the tip of my chin toward the stage.

The woman glances over and then faces me again. “That’s Destiny.”

“Destiny. Right,” I reply, barely refraining from rolling my eyes. “Who do I need to talk to about a private dance?” I ask.

“Donte,” she replies. “I’ll send him over.”

“Thanks,” I tell her.

Leaning back again, I reluctantly watch the rest of the show with a white knuckled grip on the chair arms. Men come up to the stage and slip cash down her red thong, grazing the smooth skin on her hips or ass with their fingertips. “Destiny” even lets one of the pervy bastards untie her corset down the front of her body until the material falls to the stage floor, leaving her naked except for the red thong, black garters and matching red heels.

Looking at her swaying tits feels incredibly wrong, just like it did the night of my bachelor party. I never should’ve asked for a private dance that night. I’ll regret that decision for the rest of whatever is left of my short life.

But now, to keep up the act, I have to watch her lean legs wrap around the pole and her long, thick hair flow around her as she hangs upside down…

“You want a dance with Destiny?” a man’s voice interrupts my observation.

Clearing my throat, I look over at the balding guy in a black button down and pull out my wallet from my back pocket. “Yeah. How much?”

“A hundred for one song, two hundred for three, or a thousand and she’ll be all yours tonight in the champagne room,” he informs me.

“How about two grand for the champagne room with the cameras off?” I offer.

“Deal,” he replies with a smarmy grin.

I count out the hundreds I had ready and waiting in my wallet and place the stack of bills in his waiting palm.

“I’ll show you to the room and send her in as soon as she comes off stage,” he tells me, so I get to my feet and prepare to come face to face with the woman who ruined my fucking life.

Lexi Cruz

As soon as my song ends, I gather up my outfit and leave the stage, heading straight to my dressing area to check my phone, making sure Joanna hasn’t called. When I don’t have any missed calls or text messages, I let out a relieved breath, redress in the corset, and sit down to touch up my makeup in the mirror.

“Lexi, you’re in the champagne room the rest of the night,” Donte says when he comes up beside my chair. “No cameras.”

“I’m not fucking anyone,” I snap at my new boss. “Sorry, but I don’t care how much money he has, how much he paid you, or what he offers me. It’s not gonna happen.”

“Fine,” Donte says, holding his palms up in the air. “Just let him grab your tits and ass and maybe play with his cock a little. Yell for Dale or Marvin if he pushes his luck.”

God, I hate my life.

It wasn’t like I’ve always aspired to be a stripper. Once, I dreamed of being a ballet dancer or any other type of dancer that keeps her clothes on. Now, I’m nothing but a cheap entertainer, doing a job I hate but have to endure. It’s the easiest way to earn money now that I’m on my own and it sure beats the long, hard hours of waitressing.

“Hurry up,” Donte tells me.

Picking up my phone from the vanity to check it for messages one last time, I place it back down and then make my way out through the club’s main floor, not even bothering to smile at anyone. I’m done “entertaining” tonight, except for the one man who is waiting for me down the hallway.

I’m really not in the mood for him to get handsy, so he better be on his best behavior, or I’ll have his ass thrown out.

Turning the doorknob, I slip inside the room and then press my back to the door to get a look at my John Doe. The first thing I notice is that he’s big, taking up most of the loveseat, his jean-covered thighs spread wide. He’s wearing a plain black hoodie and a black baseball cap that casts a shadow on his bearded face. Even though I can’t see his eyes, I feel them watching me. Was it his gaze I felt on stage? The one so intense that it sent a chill down my spine, reminding me of those nights almost a year ago back at Avalon?

Shaking those thoughts from my head, I try to focus on the here and now. Tons of men were looking at me on stage. This guy must have liked what he was seeing if he spent enough money to get me alone for the rest of the night. I glance up at the camera in the corner on the opposite side of the wall, and sure enough, the red light is off. He paid for that too.

“Can I pour you a drink?” I ask when I walk over toward the champagne bottle that’s sitting in the ice bucket. His only response is a shake of his head. “You sure? I’m gonna have one,” I say, needing to calm my nerves and numb myself to get through the next few hours. While I’m only twenty, the club owner has never had a problem with me having a drink with a customer. In fact, it’s encouraged.

The cork has already been popped on the bottle when I go to open it, so I pour a glass and take a big gulp before setting it back down on the table.

After stalling for as long as possible, I know it’s time to get to the reason we’re in the room alone. He wants to see me dance naked for him. Strutting over to the stranger in my heels, I come to a stop between his spread legs and start to untie the strings of my corset.

The man moves so fast that I don’t have time to react. One minute I’m facing him, his slumped posture making him almost look bored. The next second, I’m facing away from him and he has the blade of a knife pressed against my throat.

“Don’t even think about screaming or I’ll slit your fucking throat right this second,” his deep, rumbling authoritarian voice warns as my arms automatically go up to his wrist to try and pull his hand away. It’s a familiar voice, only…much, much angrier than the last time I heard it.

No, it can’t be. How the hell did he find me?

“T-Torin?” I ask.

“Shut the fuck up,” he barks in my ear.

“I’m…I’m sorry, Torin,” I tell him as tears begin to fill my eyes.

“Not another goddamn word,” he warns, and the knife digs into my throat a little deeper.

Shit! He finally came for his revenge. In a few moments, I’m going to die before I even have a chance to explain!

“Walk toward the door slowly,” he demands. “Once I check to see if the hallway is clear, you’re gonna take a right and go straight out the emergency exit without making a sound.”

“Are you…are you gonna kill me?” I hiccup.

“I want Hector. But if I have to kill you and find another way to him, I will. Now shut the fuck up! Don’t make me tell you again.”

Oh, fuck. He’s serious. I may not know much about the president of the Savage Kings MC other than the fact that he lost his pregnant wife and son a few months ago, but I do know that he could slice my throat open right now without a second thought. He’s a man with nothing to lose, and those are the most dangerous of all.

“Nod if you’re going to do what I said. You cooperate, you keep living. For now,” he grumbles.

I do as he says, nodding the least amount I can to convey my agreement. Whatever he wants I’ll do it. I can’t let him kill me. There’s too much for me to live for.

“Walk,” he orders, so I release my grip on his arm and take a few slow steps as his much larger body stays pressed to my backside. When we reach the door, he wraps an arm around my waist to turn me to the side. From the corner of my eye, I watch him open the door just a crack to peek out.

“Let’s go. Fast,” he tells me. His arm comes back around my waist and steers me forward again. I turn right and take the five steps to the emergency exit, then pause.

“Open it,” he directs me.

“Th-the alarm will go off,” I explain.

“Open the fucking door,” he growls, so I push on the bar and wince when I hear the chirping alarm. My heels leave the floor, and then Torin is running through the parking lot with the knife still at my throat. He approaches a big, black utility van and the back door suddenly swings open. Inside someone moves out of the way when Torin tosses me forward. I throw my palms out to catch myself on the hard metal floor of the vehicle before I face plant.

“Gag her and tie her hands and feet,” Torin instructs the other man when he climbs in behind me. The van jerks forward before he even slams the back door shut. Then we’re moving forward so fast that I’m thrown into the wall before someone’s hands are on me, wrenching my arms behind my back as the first sob breaks free from my throat.

There’s nothing else I can do now. My life is in the hands of a stranger who wants me dead.

ARMY: Night Rebels Motorcycle Club (Night Rebels MC Romance Book 7) by Chiah Wilder

A Bookworm Review by Ana

Army

MC Romance

I give this book 5 stars!

There is no limit for what you’ll do for love.

Have a look at the blurb:

A sizzling and gripping story of forbidden lovers caught in the crossfire of vengeance.

A member of the Night Rebels MC, Army is an arrogant, tough SOB, and he makes no bones about it. His idea of having a good time is riding his Harley, boozing with his brothers, and having rowdy sex whenever the mood strikes him–which is often. Hook ups are on his terms, and if a woman doesn’t like it, there’s always another one waiting to take her place.

Then he sees her fighting in the ring, moving in ways that give him a whole bunch of nasty ideas about what he wants to do to her. And the way she looks at him? Well … there’s no denying the intense, mutual attraction. Chemistry sparks between them like the Fourth of July.

The only problem? She says she’s not interested. What the …?

Stiletto’s attraction to the rugged biker is like a storm electrifying the air, but with his swagger and perpetual smirk, he’s a poster boy for shattering hearts. If only her body would understand that.

Then she finds out he’s a member of the Night Rebels Motorcycle Club and is a deadly rival of her brother’s motorcycle club–The Satan’s Pistons.

But one night with him wouldn’t hurt anyone.
It’d just be a hookup, and probably the best sex she’d ever had.
Besides, who would ever know?

Then a series of tragic events lead the star-crossed lovers down a dangerous and dark path, forcing Stiletto and Army to make the hardest choices of their lives.

The Night Rebels MC series are standalone romance novels. This book contains violence, strong language, and steamy/graphic sexual scenes. It describes the life and actions of an outlaw motorcycle club. No cheating or cliffhangers. HEA. Intended for 18+ readers.

#MyReview:

After reading and reviewing so many books these couple of years I’m starting to not have that many ideas for starting a new review. I mean, I know what I want to say but I don’t want to be repetitive. Like I said, I’m a reader not a writer do let’s get this started.
I’ve read bunches of books but there is only one genre that I absolutely adore and this is it. MC. MC books are the best and this lady knows how to write them. Her writing is wild, hot, steamy and with so much feelings behind each chapter. Dayum. You have to read them.
Army is her latest release and it’s the seventh book from the Night Rebels MC series. Oh boy… What a series.
This book tells the stories of Army and Mia.
But before I tell you a little bit about about this book I need to tell you something. Despite the fact that all books are standalones, I totally advise you to read them all in order. You’ll see why.
Army is the ultimate biker. He’s a big SOB, super cocky and arrogant. For him riding his Harley is the most important thing and he’s a one night stand type of guy. No relationships, that’s for sure  but when he sees a female MMA fighter…
Mia is an MMA fighter that knows what she’s doing. She’s feity, confidant and doesn’t take shi*** from no-one.
When a sexy biker crosses her path she knows she wants him but she can’t let him know that. Besides there’s a huge reason for them to not be together… He’s s member of her brother’s rival MC.
And now what? How can they consume their passion?
JFK… What just happened? What a book. What a story… Dayum.
The plot is superb, very well written, super engaging and intense.
I could just tell you that this was a sweet story but I would be lying because it was so much more.
The drama, the danger, the struggle as well as love, loyalty and hotness are super present in this book.
I always wonder how this story would be and let me just day that it was so much more.
Dayum Chiah… You rock woman. This series is getting better by the book. Can’t wait for what’s about to come.

About the author:

Chiah Wilder is the author of Hawk’s Property, the first book in the Insurgents MC Series. It is a full length, standalone novel. Its release date is set for October 27, 2015.

Always a lover of books, she began writing at a young age and continued through college with collections of short stories. Figuring she had to grow up and get a “real” job, her writing was placed on the back burner.

Her love of reading has always be center front in her life. Chiah’s love of bad boys both in and out of fiction has inspired her Insurgents series. She loves an alpha male whose softer side is brought out by a passionate, spirited woman. In fiction there are no rules or boundaries, and fantasies can go as far as the characters want to take them. Steamy, biker romances with rough, sexy bad boys are her guilty pleasure along with brownies, cheddar cheese, and movie marathons.

Returning to writing has been a dream come true. Writing and publishing Hawk’s Property has been an amazing journey, and she is happy to share the Insurgents family with her readers. She is busy writing her next book in the series.

Hawk: Devil’s Nightmare MC (Devil’s Nightmare MC Book 6) by Lena Bourne

A Bookworm Review by Ana

Hawk

MC Romance

I give this book 5 stars!

No matter what happens, no matter how dark your path is because you can’t stop fighting for what you want.

Have a look at the blurb:

HAWK is a full-length, standalone first book in a steamy and suspenseful new MC Romance series – Devil’s Nightmare MC – by USA Today Bestselling Author Lena Bourne. No Cliffhanger, HEA Guaranteed!

Trying to stay away from him is a losing fight.

Hawk

I lusted after the gorgeous female MMA fighter Yanna for years through the computer screen, where I spend most of my time as the hacker for the notorious Devil’s Nightmare MC. When I finally meet her in person, she’s everything i hoped she would be. And more. As sweet as honey, but edgy and hard like a knife too. The perfect blend of sass and sweet.

But being with her means going against direct orders from my President, and could mean messing up the most important job the MC’s taken on in years.

The trouble is, I don’t care. I’d gladly lose it all for the taste of her lips and the touch of her sweet curves.

Yanna

I’ve been fighting my whole life. Fighting to win, and fighting to escape the danger I’ve been in since i was a teenager. Now here’s this guy, saying he can erase all that danger for me like it never was.

But he’s the real danger. His touches. kisses and strong arms around me make me soft, make me weak, make me unable to fight. If i surrender to him, he’ll take away all I worked for, all i sweated and bled for.

It’s impossible not to surrender to him, because that’s all I want to do, all i ever wanted, but didn’t know it. He will take me under and he’ll make me love it. Wanting him is the first thing in my life that I can’t fight.

#MyReview:

I know that I might sound boring or repetitive because I always say this but I honestly don’t care. My reviews are just that, my reviews so they need to tell you how I felt when I read a certain book. It’s no secret that I love MC books. The more I read the more I love. It was supposed to make me bored but it’s quite the opposite… I’m even more addicted.
Lena Bourne has been giving me this genre for quite some time and each book drove me crazy. Her writing is hot and wild, scary or sweet and with so much desire… Dayum.
Hawk is her latest release and it’s the 6th book from the Devil’s Nightmare MC series.
But I need to tell you something first because it’s important. Despite all books are standalones you should read all books in order because some events will continue to happen and all characters from previous books will appear in every book. You will not regret it.
This book explores the lifes of Hawk and Yanna.
Yanna was forced to runaway from her dreams and her country 9 years ago but she never forgotten her dream. The dream of becoming a MMA Champion. She doesn’t want to get close to anyone because love makes you weak and the loss will kill you so why bother?
Her big break is in Vegas so she goes there to win the MMA championship.
Hawk is one of the MC brothers. He’s loyal to his family and will do everything in his power to protect them. He might look different on the outside but he’s loyal. He’s an hacker therefor his name. He’s a computer genius and there isn’t a thing he can’t do or find in a computer.
Now he was sent to Vegas to keep an eye on a possible business partner.
And all hell breaks loose. This story will put you on edge due to its suspense.
The plot is amazing, very well written, super engaging and intense. Each scene made me sad, or mad, or happy or so hot. Dayum…
The interation between the characters is raw and intense despite all the darkness that surrounds them.
This book presented us with crime, punishment, greedy, betrayal as well as love, hope, loyalty and family.
You might want to be away and death instead of facing your feelings but you can’t runaway forever. One day… On day happiness will knock on your door and then what? Open or lock it?
The struggles, the stubbornness almost made me insane but it was so worth it.
Lena… This series is getting better and hotter by the minute and I’m curious… Curious no know what’s next…

Ryder

MC Romance

I give this book 5 stars!

Trust your heart and you will find your way.

Have a look at the blurb:

A robbery, an obvious suspect, missing people, and a club president who doesn’t believe him… Ryder knows everything is against him, but his intuition has never let him down and he’s counting on it now, more than ever.
Storm was just trying to get by, dealing with the problems that kept getting thrown at her… and now this! She was already on the back foot, and life just took another step in the wrong direction – or was she destined to be right here, right now.
Time would tell, but time was running out faster than she could keep up.

This is the 12th book in the Southside Skulls MC Series. It is a Standalone Romance Novel but characters from the previous novels, DAX, CODY, GUNNER, ZACK, LEVI, KAT, HUNTER, GARRETT, WHEELIE, JIGSAW/RUSTY & CHOPPER are included in this story too.

Intended for Mature Readers.
* * *
The Southside Skulls MC Series is about members of the MC club, and their friends and associates.
Each story, while focused around one or more main characters, is not necessarily about a Southside Skulls club member, but the story is related to Skulls members and the club.

#MyReview:

This lady has the ability to make me drop everything to start her books. I love her books and wanna guess the genre she writes about?? MC… Hell yeah… My favorite.
Jessie Cooke is the bomb and her books made me feel things and see things in a way that made me fall in love. Her writing is hot and wild, sassy, intense, addictive and with so much hotness into the mix. Dayum…
Ryder is her latest release and it’s the 12th book from the Southside Skulls MC. Dayum… This series…
But I need to tell you something first, this series is not a standalone therefor you should read all books in order. You will love them… Trust me.
This book tells the stories of Ryder and Storm.
Ryder is one of the guys. He’s loyal and faithful to his brothers. When he is caught up in a robbery he can’t imagine what’s about to happen…
Storm has suffered a huge loss. Her father had died and her mom isn’t well. She struggles to keep her job and save enough money to turn her life up. When a charismatic guy crossed her path she can’t get him out of her head despite the fact that she swore love away…
And I’m done… I can’t say more. This book is amazing and Dayum you need to read it. You have to.
This book is explosive, it’s intense and so freaking hot.
The plot is superb, very well written  super engaging and powerful. Each chapter made me keep reading and reading until my eyes hurt but I couldn’t stop. The need to know more fueled my addiction.
The chemistry these two share is perfect despite her strong head. Dayum they are so stubborn…
I’m sad that this series is over because I wanted to keep reading about this family of bikers but this amazing author had started a new series and we will have glimpses of the other guys.
Jessie I’ve already said this but o will say it again. You rock and your books are amazing. Can’t wait for the next one.

“1939?” Tigger asked, for the third time at least. Ryder rolled his eyes. The kid was probably getting a headache trying to do the math.

“38-39. She’s 80 years old.”

“Damn, that’s older than my grandma.” Tigger chuckled and then said, “Grandma was a wild one, married five times…three of them were Hell’s Angels. There’s probably a lot of jokes in there…”

Ryder chuckled and said, “Don’t worry, I’m not going there.”

“So, no offense, but what’s so special about this bike?”

He was trying to be patient with the prospect, but the kid was jumping up and down on Ryder’s last nerve. He talked too much. Ryder wasn’t a talker, never had been. It was one of the reasons that he and Garrett were such good friends. They’d met in the army and found out they were both from Vegas and they both had more than a passing interest in motorcycles, but they both knew when to talk and when to keep their mouths shut. When a man had a handful of original, eighty-year-old parts…there was something reverential about that, at least in Ryder’s eyes. It was like being in church, and he wished the choir would shut the fuck up so he could pray in silence. He tried to gather what was left of his patience by reminding himself that he was a prospect once too, and he had learned because someone had been patient with him.

“Right after I got out of the army I met up with Garrett in Henderson, Nevada. We went into this dealership to get some shit for his bike and I saw her there. She was on a chrome platform and there were gold ropes around her. She was the prettiest thing I ever saw. It’s like the sky opened up and the heavens were shining down on her. I fell in love,” he snapped his fingers, “just like that.”

Tigger squished his pimply face up and said, “Sorry, I don’t see it.”

Ryder had been bent over. He rose up to his full six-foot-three and looked down at the skinny boy. Tigger actually looked nervous. Ryder had a mean face. People got nervous around him all the time, even when he was trying to be pleasant. Sometimes he thought about shaving the beard, but then he remembered that only made him look like a mean twelve-year-old. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” Ryder told him. “Besides, look at it this way…say a guy introduced you to his old lady right when she first woke up in the morning after a night of doing tequila shots and dancing on tables. Her mascara’s smeared all over her face and her skin’s all splotchy and that hair…” He held his hands up around his head, “You know, that wild, angry-looking hair with maybe a bit of dried vomit in the hairline?” Tigger made a face. “Right? Then imagine you run into some of the guys that were at the party the night before and they’re talking about a whole different woman. This one was dressed to kill, her make-up was on point, and her hair was long and smooth and sexy…same girl, different situations. You see, Edith…”

“Edith?”

“You wanna hear the rest of the story, or you wanna piss me off by talking shit about my old girl’s name?”

“Nah, man, sorry.”

“Like I was saying, Edith has had a long, hard life. That day in the dealership there was this plaque that told all about her. She was, in her day, a unique, experimental Harley Davidson. Edith was one of the actual Bill Harley, experimental, second generation, 52-cubic-inch overhead valve prototypes. She is only one of five produced. She came with aluminum heads and barrels, and a 1938 lower end, overhead valves, and a 1937 oil pump.”

Ryder could hear the excitement in his own voice, but he couldn’t help it. One thing he did do a lot of talking about was Edith. There was just so much to say about her. “Edith’s motor…this motor right here…was made just for her. She’s got narrow cams and an oversized cam cover, lifter blocks drilled to the channel, and they vacuum the oil from the OHV heads. And look at those wheels. One-off narrow stepped hubs with spoke wheels. Damn, I almost get a hard-on just looking at her. She ain’t what she used to be, but she will be again someday. It took me a while to save up enough cash to get her shipped out here from Vegas, and now it’s gonna take a while for me to save enough to finish buying the original parts and paint that I need to restore her, but when I’m finished with her, Edith will shine again just like it’s 1939.”

“She get burnt?”

“Not burnt so much as smoke damaged. See, that night, after I saw her, there was a fire at that dealership. It was the whole block, really…some drunk hit a pole that sent up a big spark and ignited all kinds of shit. But something saved her…maybe it was divine intervention, what do you think?” Tigger shrugged, and Ryder said, “Anyway, you know what her price tag said that first time I saw her?” Tigger shook his head. “Two hundred and twenty thousand dollars.” The kid whistled through his teeth and Ryder said, “I know, right? Dude, no ordinary man could have bought her. She would have ended up in some rich casino boss’s collection…but since she was smoke damaged, and the owner of the dealership was gonna collect the insurance anyway, he auctioned her off about a week after the fire.”

“So how much did you pay?” Tigger asked.

“Just wait a second, you have to hear the whole story so you can understand how I knew Edith and I were meant to be. See, about a week after the fire Garrett and I had the day off and we were hitting the bars on the strip pretty hard. We met these girls in a bar on Fremont Street. Hot girls, and they were pretty drunk too. So Garrett and his girl took off first and me and mine were doing some gambling because she seemed a little hesitant. Dude, I hit a twenty-five thousand dollar jackpot on one of the progressive machines.”

“No fucking way!”

“Fucking way, man. That girl was already horny but when she saw all that cash, it was on. We got a room and a bottle and damn, that was some fine pussy. Almost the best I ever had.”

“And her name was Edith?”

“No. Will you just let me tell the story?” Tigger nodded, and Ryder said:

“So, we got it on all night and the next day about noon we got woke up by a pounding on the door. I opened it and there was this MILF…I mean, she was hot. She was all dressed up fancy, huge tits spilling out of the top of her dress, big hair…nice, let me tell you. But the weird part was that she had a wedding dress in one hand and she was pulling Garrett’s chick by the ear with the other.”

“Oh, shit!”

“Yeah, seems my little girl was late for her own wedding. She was getting married to some rich Wall Street guy. She whined but Mama Edith whipped her butt into shape really quickly. She sent her off to get ready…and while the girl was doing that, Edith and I got to know each other better.”

Tigger was laughing. “Fuck! That’s an awesome story.” Ryder knew it was and he loved telling it, especially since it was all true.

“Yep. So, after Edith left to see that her little girl became Mrs. Rich Wall Street Guy, I’m cruising downtown on my way back to the house and I pass this auction yard. I happen to see this ‘fire sale’ sign and since I’m still flush with the cash I’d won the night before, I stop, and I’ll be damned if this beauty isn’t on the block just as I walk through the gates. It was fate. Edith and I were meant to be.”

“Like soulmates,” Tigger said.

“Now you’re just making it weird.” Tigger’s face turned red and Ryder laughed. “I’m just messing with you, kid. Go get me a beer, will you?”

“Sure.” Tigger headed off toward the back of the shop where the refrigerator was and Ryder squatted back down next to the bike. He’d just picked up the cloth and polisher he was using when he heard:

“Ryder, you in here?” It was Garrett.

“Yep, over here.” He stood up again and saw his giant friend coming toward him. Ryder hadn’t wanted to return to California when he got out of the army. He was okay with visiting his family from time to time, but he didn’t have to live down the street. Instead, he’d gone to Vegas and Garrett had gotten him into the club he rode with as a prospect. They were both nomads, and that suited their lone wolf lifestyles, but as the club president began putting more pressure on Garrett to do things that were tormenting his soul, Garrett met a woman and decided to make a lot of changes in his life. The biggest one…besides his girl Paige, of course…was leaving Vegas and joining up with the Skulls in Boston. About six months later in one of their monthly phone talks, Garrett told him that Dax Marshall was recruiting men skilled in hydroponics. Ryder fit that bill and had grown restless in Nevada…so here he was on the east coast and wearing the Southside Skulls colors on his vest.

“Hey, I hate to interrupt your time with Edith,” Garrett chuckled. “I need a favor.”

“Sure, what’s up?” Tigger was back with the beer. He handed one to Ryder and Garrett took the other out of his hand. Ryder smiled. He figured the second beer had probably been for Tigger himself, but he wasn’t about to tell the giant biker that. The prospect scurried off to get another and Garrett said:

“Dax asked me to go into town to the bar tonight and pick up the receipts. I was gearing up, but Paige started having pains…”

“She’s in labor?” Garrett’s old lady was pregnant and about to pop, from the looks of her. Garrett already had a little girl that he shared custody of with his ex. He thought the sun rose and set on that little girl, and Ryder thought it was really something to see his friend, a former army sharpshooter and assassin, on the DL kissing boo-boos and teaching his little girl how to ride a bike. He was a good dad, and when he found out Paige was having a boy, he was walking on air.

“I’m not sure. They’re still kind of far apart but since we’re a ways out from the hospital, her doctor told her to go in and get checked. So, I need someone to go get the deposit and receipts from Carolyn.”

Carolyn ran the bar that the Skulls owned in the city. Surprisingly, it was kind of a yuppie bar where Boston’s young, hip businessmen and women spent their time after work and on the weekends. Dax had bought the bar in the name of one of his dummy corporations and not many people even knew that the Skulls owned it. It was called 92 Proof and a lady named Carolyn Myers had been managing it for the five years that the Skulls owned it. Carolyn was a great lady, if not a little rough around the edges, and she was meticulous with the books. Once a week Dax sent Gunner or Garrett to collect the “deposit” and the receipts. Carolyn didn’t like the idea of turning over all that cash to anyone but the bank, but Dax had his own way of doing things and most of the Skulls’ “deposits” didn’t happen in the traditional sense. Despite expecting someone to show up to collect them every Monday night, however, she still went a little batshit crazy if anyone she didn’t know showed up and asked for them. A few of the guys had to wait for hours until she could get a hold of Dax before she’d release them, and one poor prospect got held at gunpoint when he tried to say fuck it and leave anyway. Luckily, she knew Ryder because he’d gone in with Garrett several times. She also knew Paige was expecting, so she shouldn’t have a problem with Ryder going in alone tonight, he hoped.

“Well, of course I’ll go get them for you. Let me know what’s going on when you get to the hospital.”

“I will, thanks, brother.” Garrett handed Ryder a set of keys and then Ryder gave him a bro-hug and told him to give Paige his love before he left. Then Ryder tucked Edith in for the night, got on his 2004 HD Softail, and headed into town. An hour later he was pulling up in front of 92 Proof. It looked pretty busy for a Monday night; there was no parking out front and it looked like people were spilling out the front door. Ryder parked his bike in the back and went in through the kitchen door. He’d just stridden past the big stainless-steel dishwasher when he was suddenly looking at the business end of a baseball bat.

“Take one more step and you’re a dead man.”

Ryder’s eyes followed the Louisville slugger down to the woman holding it. The well-worn wooden bat was a sharp contrast to the innocent face of the woman clutching it like she was waiting for the perfect pitch. Her brow was creased tightly and her pretty pink lips were curved downward in a frown. She had long blonde hair and it was pulled back into a thick ponytail. The neckline of her shirt was just low enough to show off a bit of cleavage and the edges of a colorful tattoo. Ryder thought it might be some kind of flower, but he was afraid if he stared at her chest for too long, she might take a swing at his head. “Whoa there, little lady…”

“Don’t little lady me, I’ll take your head clean off!”

He tried not to smile, because she looked like she just might try. Ryder was looking directly at her face now and he decided quickly that although the rest of her was pretty, it was her eyes that made her beautiful. They were hazel, more green than brown, and surrounded by long, dark eyelashes…but it was the passion in them that made them so unique. They were like looking into two big, round orbs of fire. Of course he knew the passion in them at the moment was borne of the fear that some bum had just walked in through the alley with sketchy intentions…but it was still hot. It gave the impression that she was the kind of woman that life might bend but never break, and although he could probably easily take the bat out of her hands, she wouldn’t give it up without a fight. Again, hot.

“I’m here to see Carolyn,” he said. The little blonde narrowed her eyes even further on his face.

“And do you always come in the back door when you come to visit Carolyn?”

“Not always, no. Tonight, I happened to have the key.” He held up the keys Garrett had given him up. She let her eyes flit to them and then back to his face.

“Are you a friend of Carolyn’s?”

“Business associate,” Ryder said. “You can just tell her I’m here for the bank deposit.”

“What’s your name?”

“Ryder Moore.”

“Ride Her More?”

Ryder laughed. “Well, I’ll be damned. Most people don’t get that so quickly. You’re good.” He was impressed. That was exactly why the guys called him Ryder…and he wasn’t kidding that most people weren’t clever enough to figure it out.

She rolled her eyes. “Figures, you look like a player.”

“Storm! Where are those glasses?” Ryder didn’t take his eyes off “Storm’s” face even as he saw Carolyn push through the swinging doors a few feet behind her. The middle-aged brunette stopped in her tracks, put her hands on her slim hips, and said, “What the hell is going on?”

“Hey there, Carolyn.”

“Ryder, what the hell are you doing in the kitchen and Storm, why are you holding a bat on him?”

“I came to pick up the receipts. Paige might be in labor; Garrett took her to the hospital. He gave me the key to the back door. It was crowded out front, so I thought I’d just slip in this way.” He smiled at Storm then and said, “Now you go.”

Storm slowly lowered the bat to her side, but she continued to glare at Ryder. “I’m sorry,” she said, not sounding sorry at all. “I thought he was breaking in. I’ve never seen anyone come in that door…”

Ryder was just about to accept her feeble apology when the sound of a scream and shattering glass cut him off and sent a chill down his spine. He reached back for the gun resting in his waistband just as he heard the unmistakable metallic sound of a shotgun being cocked. “Fuck me,” he said in a whisper as he made his way toward the swinging door that separated the kitchen and the bar. “Garrett better at least give that kid mine for a middle name.”

#MyReview:

Another MC series is starting and I can’t stay away… I need to read it and the fact that the blurb spiked my curiosity was a huge bonus. But reading a book from a new author can be scary, I know that I’ve already said this but it’s the truth. Reading a book from a new author can be an amazing thing or it can crash and burn… To many variables are at stake… Is the plot appealing? Will I like her writing? Do the characters work good together? See… To many questions but there is only one way to find out so that’s what I’ve done…
And I’m so glad I did. Scarlett Black is amazing and you wouldn’t have guessed that this was her debut novel… Jeez.
Betting on Forever is her newest release and tells the stories of Blade and Alessia.
Blade is the President of the Battle Born MC and he lives for his club, to protect, to help his brothers and his life is complete… Or so he thinks. Love isn’t in the cards for him but when he tries to open a tattoo shop near a club…
Alessia or Vegas to her friends, owns a bar and likes her job. She’s feisty and doesn’t take shi*** from no-one. she had suffered a lot in the past so she tends to keep her feelings away. When a biker tries to open a shop near her…
Dayum this two are perfect for each other. The way they interact with each other can be explosive.
The plot is amazing, very well written, super engaging and intense with the perfect mix of danger, love, desire and so much more.
The were parts of the story that I saw myself laughing so hard but there were others that I wanted to slap someone… Jeez… These two are super stubborn.
Of course that not everything is a bed of roses because danger is lurking on every corner…
I’m so happy for the chance to read this book and I’m super excited for the next.
Well done Scarlett. You started with the right foot and I can’t wait for what’s about to happen…
Will we have to wait for to long?

Pawn (The Broken Bows) by Kerri Ann

A Bookworm Review by Ana

Pawn

MC Romance

I give this book 5 stars!

Don’t give up the fight to find your happiness.

Have a look at the blurb:

I escaped hell. I was free.

I thought I could go back to normal.

I can’t.

Right now, normal hurts.

I’ve seen things—done things—I’m not the same girl I was.

It changed me—he changed me.

I don’t belong anywhere that feels familiar.

I’m broken.

The only thing that feels right is my pain.

Our club is in ruins. It’s left me at the helm.

Twists and turns took me down this path that lead to further destruction. I know King orchestrated it all.

Thing is, I’m no one’s pawn.

The club is all I have. King won’t take us down. We’ll play this out our way.

One way or another, he’ll pay for the damage to us, to them, to her…

#MyReview:

The thing that makes me really happy is to have a new book, from a genre that I adore and to top it all if it’s a new author that will make things super engaging… Oh boy.
But the doubts can make my head spin because will I like her writing? Will I like the plot? There is only on way to find out so I needed to start it soon enough.
Kerri Ann is a new author to me but let’s just say that I really enjoyed her writing. It’s super detailed, raw, hot, wild and so much more in between.
Pawn is her latest release and it’s the second book from the Broken Bows MC Duet. Jesus. I haven’t read the first two books but I really need to so I advise you to read them all too.
This book continues to explore the lifes of Busta and Oubliette. I adore those names.
Busta is fighting to keep his club and make it legit but things aren’t easy when younger to do the right thing.
Oubliette is frying to find herself but when you loose everything how can you?
Let me just say that this book just made me want to read the other books first and then get back at this one.
So much has happened that will hook you up.
The plot is amazing, very detailed and engaging, full of drama, darkness and so much more.
The danger lurking behind each chapter made me keep reading and reading until my eyes hurt. I needed to know more, to read more, to see more.
I’m in love with everything and super sad because it’s over.
Kerri… Can I ask more? Please?

Reckless (Deathstalkers MC Book 9) by Alexis Noelle

A Bookworm Review by Ana

Reckless

MC Romance

I give this book 5 stars!

Your heart is the one that can make you happy.

Have a look at the blurb:

Forbidden.
Off Limits.
Unattainable.
Those are the rules.
I can’t claim her–a club girl.
A club whore if we’re cutting the shit.

But Carly is different,
Something about her makes me want to break all the rules,
Break the code,
Keep her for myself,
And make damn sure my brothers don’t touch one inch of her.

That’s a dangerous promise,
But for her, I’m ready to get a little reckless.

#MyReview:

The best thing about books is the ability to make you travel without leaving your house. Each story will hook you up in a sec, and if it’s a genre that I love I’ll be on cloud nine.
Alexis Noelle as a new book but I haven’t read this series yet but the opportunity to read a new book made that fact non important. Not right away I mean.
Her writing is hot and sexy, with so much feelings and dangers lurking in the shadows.
Reckless is her latest release and it’s the 9th book from the Deathstalkers MC series.
This book explores the lifes of Carly and Wrench.
Carly thought that her life was complete until the day she found out her husband was cheating on her and she asked for the divorce. But after that her life changed drastically.
Wrench’s life changed the day he saw the love of his teen years getting back into his life. He wants her but club rules are strick when it comes to club girls… And now what? Will he fight for her or give up?
Great book, amazing plot full of feelings into the chapters. The plot is amazing, very engaging, fast paced and engaging with intense.
The chemistry these two share is so strong that despite all troubles they seek for their happiness.
There were parts of the story that I saw myself wanting to hurt someone but there were others that I wanted to hold them and promisse that everything would work out in the end.
I’m in love with this series and I really need to read the other books. I just need time…
Alexis… Amazing book and I want more… So much more…

Shadow: Satan’s Fury MC- Memphis Chapter (Book 2) by L. Wilder

A Bookworm Review by Ana

Shadow

MC Romance

I give this book 5 stars!

When you have a life of darkness it might be hard to find the light…

Have a look at the blurb:

She brought light into my world of shadows.

New York Times and USA Today Best Seller L. Wilder brings readers a new addition to the Satan’s Fury Memphis series.

I’d just been voted in as Satan’s Fury’s new enforcer– a position I accepted with pride. I was determined to do my brothers proud, no matter what the cost.

We were at war, fighting an unknown advosary, and Alex Carpenter was a distraction I didn’t need nor want. My focus should’ve been on the club and our latest adversary, but I couldn’t get her out of my head. Her beauty and innocence captivated me, and just being near her made the shadows of my past seem less daunting. I had to make her mine. I let her in, but quickly realized that her walls were even more guarded than my own.

Shadow is book two of the Satan’s Fury MC- Memphis Chapter. This full-length standalone novel is intended for mature audiences only due to the explicit language and violence. Contains no cheating and a swoon-worthy HEA.

#MyReview:

The way MC books are coming I’m having trouble keeping up with them. Jeez… Who would have thought that I would have so many to choose from…
L. Wilder is the bomb writing this genre and Dayum her writing is hot and wild, forbidden and intense with so much hotness into the mix…
Shadow is her latest release and it’s the second book from the Satan’s Fury MC – Memphis Chapter series.
This book explores the lifes of Shadow and Alex.
But I totally advise you to read book 1. Heck. Read all books and fall in love with this family.
Shadow is an enforcer for the Satan’s Fury MC. Being an enforcer he’s used to fight and endure anything that might harm his club. He and his brothers were fighting a war and winning was the only option therefor distractions weren’t in the cards for him but…
When you have a life of darkness it might be hard to find the light…
Alex’s life might look like a walk in the park but that’s not it at all. She’s on the run for 8 years and now she had find her happiness with her bookstore. When an handsome biker walks into her store she can’t hide the things he does to her but is she ready to give herself away?
Jesus… How can I talk about this book without spoiling or being repetitive? I can’t… I can’t…
The plot is amazing, very well written, fast paced and engaging. Each chapter made me keep reading and reading until my eyes hurt but that didn’t happen. Lol
There were parts of the story that I wanted to get into it and hold them. They had suffered so much and they deserved to find happiness but life sometimes has other ideas…
True love is forever and deserves you to fight for it.
It was amazing to have news from the other characters from this series and I want more.
What’s next L. Wilder? Who’s the lucky brother?

Excerpt:

I heard the loud rumble of several motorcycles approaching, and as they got closer, I noticed something familiar about one of the men. Even in the pitch black of night, I knew it was him—the hot biker from the bookstore. I stood frozen in place as he and his friend whipped past me.

A black SUV pulled in right behind them and they all parked near the front door of Newman’s. I watched in awe as he got off his motorcycle and removed his helmet. He turned to look in my direction, and as those penetrating blue eyes locked on mine, all my sense of reason seemed to just wash away. I couldn’t move. My pulse was racing, my palms were sweating, and my hormones were raging. He looked so damn good with his dark hair tousled, and it was impossible not to notice how his jeans clung to him in all the right places. I was a complete mess. No man had ever had such an effect on me. I didn’t like it. I wanted to get into my car and shake it off, but when I realized that he was leaving his two friends to walk in my direction, my mind and body just wouldn’t cooperate. I simply stood there like a total idiot.

After he finally made his way over to me, I was surprised by his furrowed brow and intense expression. He just stood there staring at me for several seconds, and having no idea what else to do, I mumbled, “It’s you.”

“Yeah. It’s me.”

“I’m sorry … I don’t actually know your name.”

“It’s Shadow.” Before I could respond, he took a quick glance around the parking lot and asked, “You out here alone?”

“Yeah … I was just about to head home.”

“You shouldn’t be out here by yourself. It’s not safe,” he growled.

Surprised by his fierce tone, I became even more nervous and started to ramble. “I’m okay. My friends are inside. We were watching the band. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of them … the Smoking Guns. They’re pretty good. Not exactly my thing. A little loud for my taste. Not the loudest one I’ve ever been to, but close. At least I had an excuse to leave early … I have a shipment coming in tomorrow morning, so I need to be at the store early. What about you? Are you here to see the band, too?”

“Not exactly.” Without giving further explanation, he asked, “Where’s your car?”

“Um … it’s right over there,” I answered as I pointed in its direction.

He leaned to the side as he looked around me and grimaced, clearly not impressed by the state of my vehicle. “That’s your car?”

“Yeah. I know it’s not much, but it gets me to where I’m going.”

Just when I thought the moment couldn’t get any more uncomfortable, Jason stepped out of the bar, and as he glared at the burly biker standing next to me, he shouted, “Hey, Alex? You okay?”

“Yeah. I’m good. I was just about to leave.” When he didn’t move, I said, “You’re going to miss the closer if you don’t go back inside.”

“You’re sure you’re okay?”

“Yes, Jason. I’m fine.”

“Okay. Don’t forget to text me when you get home.”

“I will. Don’t worry.”

Once he was gone, I turned my attention back to my biker. He studied me for a moment, his eyes lingering on my mouth for only a fleeting moment; then, without saying a word, he started walking towards my car. Having no idea what he was doing, I just stood there trying to wrap my head around exactly what was happening. He turned around and looked over at me then said, “I thought you were leaving.”

“I am.” He cocked his eyebrow as he motioned his hand towards the driver’s side door. Feeling like a complete idiot, I rushed over to him and quickly unlocked my door.

He watched me get inside and asked, “You okay to drive?”

“Yes, I’m fine.” He again stared at me for a moment like he was trying to decide if I really was okay. “Seriously. I had one beer two hours ago. I’m fine.”

“Good.”

I expected him to step back, but he just stood there looking down at me. I felt warm all over, my heart was pounding so loudly that I was certain he could hear it. I felt my face turning red, and not wanting him to see my body’s reaction to him, I said, “Your motorcycle is really something. I bet it’s awesome to ride on a night like this.”

“It is.”

“Okay, well … I guess I better get going.” With a bit of hesitation, I put my hand on the door handle and as I started to close it, I said, “Thanks for walking me to my car.”

His expression softened as he moved out of the way and said, “Be careful.”

“I will. Thanks.”

After I closed the door, I gave him a smile and a quick wave goodbye, then started my engine. As I pulled out of the parking lot, I glanced up at my rearview mirror, and a chill ran down my spine when I noticed he was still standing in the same spot, watching intently as I drove out onto the main road.

“Damn,” I muttered to myself.

About the Author:

Leslie Wilder grew up in a small town in West Tennessee. A country girl at heart, she’s always thought that life is too short, but she had no idea how short it really was until her brother passed away in 2014. She’s always been an avid reader, loving the escape only a great book can give, and wondered if she had what it took to write one of the wild romances she’d come to adore. With the support of her family and friends, she published Inferno: A Devil Chaser’s MC, one year after her brother’s death. With him in mind, she fulfilled her lifetime dream of writing. Since then, she’s completed the Devil Chaser’s Series and continued on with the Satan’s Fury MC Series. She has so many stories in her head, and can’t wait to share each and every one.
Leslie has been blown away by the support of her readers, appreciating every message, review, and encouraging word she’s received over the past year. She looks forward to continuing this journey with them for years to come.
