A Bookworm Review by Ana
Piece of Work
I give this book 5 stars!
Don’t judge a book by its cover because you’ll get one big surprise…
Have a look at the blurb:
Marble isn’t the only thing that’s hard at this museum.
His body is as chiseled as Adonis. His lips are as sculpted as David. And his ego is the size of the Guggenheim.
You know the type—wolfish smile and the gravity of a black hole. The kind of man who sucks all the air from the room the second he enters it. My cocky boss thinks this internship was wasted on me, and he doesn’t hesitate to let me know.
But he’s wrong, and I’m going to prove it to him. If I can stay away from his devil lips, that is. Lips that cut me down and kiss me in the same breath, leaving me certain he’s on a mission to ruin my life.
And maybe my heart, too.
*A brand new STANDALONE romantic comedy full of steam, laughs, and heart by bestselling author Staci Hart*
Seriously… With a cover like this how could I resist?? How??
Then I read the blurb and I was a goner. I needed to read it fast but it had to wait since I was reading another book but when I ended it… Let’s just say that I couldn’t start it fast enough.
Staci Hart has been a constant in my book life and I’m so glad for the chance to read her books.
Her writing is hot and sexy, free and wild, with so much feelings behind each chapter. Each book is special and intense at its own pace.
Piece of Work is her latest release and tells the stories of Rin and Court.
Rin is a sweet girl, super shy with a heart bigger than the world. She’s super clumsy and sometimes awkward but don’t let this fool you because she’s super talented and smart. When she is accepted as an intern in the European Paintings department in Met she can’t imagine the turn her life is about to get. Used to being invisible she almost couldn’t handle the transformation that her best friends did to her…
Court is a hunk of a man and he knows it. He’s cocky, a bit arrogant but behind all that hides someone that was severely hurt… because he’s used to see the worst in people. Being born with money can bring the worst in people.
Being the art curator he’s used to all that’s beautiful and delicate and he’s a bit of a douche..
These two hate each other so freaking much that it was hilarious to see this relationship evolve.
Can Court break his rule?? Can Rin stay this powerful lady all the time or will her awkwardness win?
This book is amazing. It has everything that I love about a good story.
The plot is amazing, very well written, super engaging and powerful. This book presented us with friendship, love, loyalty as well as angst, struggles and let’s not forget the got stuff.
There were parts of the story that I laughed so hard that I almost wet myself but there were others that I wanted to slap someone… Jeez…
Overall I really enjoyed this book and I can assure you that these two are stuck in my heart. I loved them so much.
Oh Staci… You are amazing. Each book is a breath of fresh air and this one just stole my heart. I’m even more in love with your writing and I can’t wait for more.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

About the author:
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life — a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey.
From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
